Václav Jansa was one of the Czech landscape painters who excelled in their sense of atmosphere and attention to detail. Together with Luďek Marold, K. Rašek and L. Vacátek, he worked on creating a panorama of the Battle of Lipany and captured the disappearing parts of Prague on more than 150 watercolors. The landscape with a tree stand captures a completely different situation, where Václav Jansa captured the early evening atmosphere of a Czech mixed forest with lush vegetation. The horizon in degrees of green evokes the fragmentation and presence of pastures or meadows, on the right they attract the attention of abundant grasses and blackberries, which are dominated by tall pines.
