In his early works, it is evident that Boháček, a student of Professors Bukovac, Thiele and Krattner at the Academy of Fine Arts, was initially influenced by Impressionism and his figurative painting by Jan Preissler. In his later work, Boháček shifted towards spaciousness and simplicity. His works were often exhibited at the Modern Gallery of the Kingdom of Bohemia. In 1910 he became a member of the Umělecká Beseda art association in Prague. He created poetic landscapes and figurative genre scenes from village life, influenced by Art Nouveau decorativism and folk art.
