The event of the Annunciation has been one of the most popular motifs in painting and sculpture in the fine arts since Romanesque times. The painters inserted the scene into the interior of Maria's room or into the atrium with an arcade. Mary may stand there, kneeling on a kneeling chair or sitting on a stool (chair, armchair), her hands clasped in prayer, or her arms crossed in a gesture of humility, for holding a prayer book, which she sometimes has placed on the kneeling board in front of her; in surprise, he turns or looks up at the angel standing in front of her, behind her, or flies down from heaven. The painting shows some elements of the workshop or successor of Antonio Tempesta. Restored.
