The painting, capturing a farmhouse and beehives in the picturesque countryside of Slovácko, is a typical example of Jaroněk’s work, in which the focus is primarily on folk culture motifs. Characteristic features include the vibrant colorful atmosphere and warm light modulation; his influence by the geometric forms of Art Nouveau, which are expressed in the extensive decorativism. Color wood engraving on paper, signed “B. Jaroněk” on bottom right.
