The masterful landscape work on a representative view of the panorama of the horizons of the Lesser Town and Hradčany offers evening colour tones in the time of the approaching summer. The range of pastel shading is golden against the soft clouds and perfectly sculpts the perspective of Prague, gently shrouded by flowering chestnut trees. Jaroslav Šetelík used the views through the trees quite often to model the depth of the composition.
