The Devětsil movement became the cradle of poeticism, the leading reformer of which is the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature Jaroslav Seifert and later Vitězslav Nezval. Inspired by Rimbaud, he writes Nezval Alphabet - mostly quatrains based on the motifs of individual letters, accompanied by photographs by Karel Paspa. Dancer Milča Majerová from the Osvobozené theater accompanies the letters on them with individual pantomime figures. Karel Teige also contributed to Alphabet as a typographer. After its independent publication in 1926, the alphabet received a great response not only within the Devětsil movement, but also among the general public.
