The art protis technique belongs to the type of non-woven textiles and it is a Czechoslovak patent. The technique is less demanding than tapestry and was used mainly to decorate public buildings with monumental works. Ladislav Dydek experimented with technology in the spirit of the modernist concept, but he was also the founder of the May 57 group, painting, illustrating and designing stained glass. His paintings are characterized by the painter's strong sense of color and their balance.
