Július Jakoby belonged to the important Slovak modernists and liked to create sharp color and shape contrasts on the screen, with which he dynamized the situation of life in a small town. He also devoted himself extensively to the nude, and his work also reflects elements of figural Art Nouveau symbolism. The theme of the family here is set in a kind of characteristic paradise garden and emphasizes its unquestionable original role in a relaxed group act almost as on the day of creation. His works are included in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague, Bratislava and Budapest. Expert assessment was developped by Prof. PhDr. Jaromír Zemina.
