This sensitive and masterfully executed etching portrays a beautiful young woman deep in thought on a balcony. She looks dreamily at the night-time landscape and starry sky, a red rosebush planted next to her. This floral motif can also be seen in the form of cleverly stylized rosettes on her dress.
