Czech painter and printmaker Alena Antonová studied at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague in 1949–1955 under Professor Emil Filla, whose influence remained a stable inspiration throughout her work. Throughout her life she remained faithful to forms of expression and regular subjects such as the female figure, often shown with a cat or dog, still lifes and folk songs. Initially Alena Antonová focused on painting, but over time she transitioned to fine graphic art. He participated in many group exhibitions from 1958 in Czechoslovakia, Germany, Poland, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, Switzerland, etc.
