Columbia Graphophone is a brand of American phonograph from the early 20th century, manufactured by the Columbia Graphophone Company. Initially, all phonographs, like almost all other early phonographs, were powered by a spring motor that the user had to crank before playing one or two records. In 1915, Columbia began marketing models powered by an electric motor, as most urban areas were connected to the electrical grid. Offered in a mahogany box with classical ornaments, the turntable is cranked, with adjustable shutters at the bottom to determine the intensity of the sound and a side door with storage space for records. Very good state of preservation.
