Josef Procházka was a student of prof. Nejedlý and he is famous as a master landscaper. It is mainly popular for lesser-known places of Prague, e.g. near Kunratický Potok or Průhonický Park, and for motifs from southern and central Bohemia. His landscapes completely faithfully imitate the lighting situations, the textures are worked out almost photorealistically, and the landscape is enlivened by the indicated figurative staff who are engaged in their normal daily activities. Josef Procházka demonstrates his timelessness in his extraordinary feeling for the moods of the landscape, which gives the impression of an immediate experience in the depicted place.
