Federico Kromka was a painter with Czech roots who lived and worked in Paris. He was a member of the Montparnasse art community. In 1942 he was deported to a concentration camp. His work can be characterized as inclined towards Cubism and Suprematism. Composition with a Mask, executed in warm tones, is an example of Synthetic Cubism. Oil on canvas, signed "F. Kromka" on bottom right.
