An impressive Ottoman saber from the first half of the early 17th century in gold-plated silver, decorated with floral relief and gold-encrusted jade plaques with turquoise insets. The 17th century blade bears the park IPZD, which is known from a number of period Polish swords. A groove spreads out in the bottom part of the blade. Blade length: 80 cm. Professor Zdzisław Żygulski called sabers of this type "imperial style" sabers. Originally produced in Ottoman workshops in Istanbul, they were used by high-ranking persons for ceremonial purposes and/or as a diplomatic gift. Sabers of this type are contained in the collections of the Kremlin, Krakow Wawel, Warsaw, Dresden, Budapest and Istanbul. Its appearance on the market is exceptional; this is a truly rare object of museum quality. Total length of saber with sheath: 97 cm.
