Lauda's sculpture of an old woman scrubbing the floor is a sketch for greater artwork, which is currently in the collections of the National Gallery under inventory number P 4244. The masterpiece of the realistic flow of Czech sculpture in the 1920s reflects the desire for a more socially just society, to which the critical position of civilian sculpture refers. It is emphasizing the social characteristics and expressing compassion for the life destiny of a hard-working person. The statuette comes from the collection of the metalworker Karel Barták.
