Rudolf Hloušek founded a company for artistic glass processing in 1930 in Železný Brod. His specialty was relief figural decors, glass was cut for him by up to 40 workers, he also used sandblasting (for example, designs by B. Neužil, a graduate of the Jablonec school) and engraving (the phenomenal engraver Jindřich Tockstein started with him). For Hloušek, a graduate of the State Vocational School for Glass Industry in Železný Brod (1924-1927), the school's director Alois Metelák or teacher Zdeněk Juna designed. Objects with relief figural motifs were a speciality. In addition, the factory also offered figurative pressed glass. For the artistic cut glass, which the refinery presented at the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1935, it received the Grand Prix.
