Ota Janeček's works are among the items still sought after at auctions. He often focused on the beauties of nature, which he depicted very sensitively and fragile, and its fine line often resembles Asian woodcuts or ink paintings. He builds the structure of vegetation very carefully with an emphasis on plant anatomy and often creates moods in it that correspond to the light situation in the landscape. Ota Janeček's works can be found at the National Gallery in Prague, the Tate Gallery in London, the National Library in Paris, the MC Nay Institute in San Antonio, USA, the Tochigi Prefectural Museum of Fine Arts in Japan and the National Gallery of Wales.
