Franta Anýž belonged to the leading Czech emperors and medalists, who went from decorative Art Nouveau to modern lamps and other functionalist metal pieces. He collaborated on works for architects Kotěr, Hilbert, Dryák, Hübschmann and cast sculptures by Sucharda, Myslbek, Mařatka and others. He worked, for example, on casting sarcophagi of Czech kings, on the design of bronze doors to the St. Vitus Cathedral or on the construction of the Municipal House in Prague. The lamp is published in Franta Anýž's book 1876-1934 on page 84.
