The bronze in the fire gilded box is carried by black and gold stylized figures of a faun with long horns. The richly decorated base is stylized with predominantly antique motifs made of masterfully chiseled and fire-gilded bronze. Below is the match of Heracles with the Nemea lion, stylized hippocampi (sea horses), a lion with a snake, or a bust of an ancient emperor on top. The glazed dial consists of an enameled circle with Arabic numerals, the steel hands are anchored in a richly decorated center ring with a vine motif. The rear casing is formed by a grid. The quality of workmanship depicts an extremely rare table clock designed for the most demanding collectors. Clockwork to be adjusted. Great condition.
