Marek Číhal currently lives between Berlin and Prague. The colorful and playful composition leaves a very direct impression; the running cat is aimed directly at the observer, through the indicated floral background. In 2010 Číhal received the Critics’ Award for Young Painting, which he followed up the next year with two paintings for his Lemons and Trees series and the receipt of the Jan Světlík Art Prize for Promising Artist. His works are slowly conquering the entire world. He has been shown in Germany, Italy, France, Hungary, Austria and the United Kingdom, and his works are held in private collections.
