The representative portrait of a seated girl in a modest dress is a typical example of the artistic focus and style of the painter Vratislav Nechleba. In his speech, he was quite conservative, following the old masters and strongly opposing modernity. Vratislav Nechleba was a Czech painter, student of Max Pirner and later a professor at AVU. He mainly focused on portraits of representative character (E. Vojan, T. F. Šimon).
