Vlastimil Beneš (1919 - 1981) PORTRAIT OF A GIRL

Vlastimil Beneš's distinctive work cannot always be simply included in the mainstream fine arts of the 20th century. His paintings, which the offered work perfectly represents, are filled with original poetry, peace, silence and melancholy. He often experimented with patinating and painting plaster boards, and the presented Portrait of a Girl is proof of this. The abstract lyrical tone of the work corresponds to his quest for extraordinary aesthetics with a bit of exaggeration.
