The primordial image of White Waterfall was created as a direct inspiration after returning from Asia. The waterfall becomes the center of the universe, as does the Mountain. In the following years, thanks to this painting, Hábl developed his technique in spatial realizations in public spaces, such as Galerie Deska in Ústí nad Labem, or this year as part of the Landscape Festival at a 40m apartment building on Olšanské náměstí in Prague. Hábl's Waterfall has also become a permanent part of architecture (Palmovka IV Park, architects J. Fišer and J.Aulík, or at Veleslavín Doupě, Arch. S. Fiala). Patrik Hábl is one of the most prominent faces of contemporary Czech painting working with painting and its spatial location: a solo exhibition at the Dox Center for Contemporary Art, the Beijing Biennale and an exhibition in Kyoto, 2015. He created a number of entrances to important historical buildings: 15m installation ; an installation for the AJG permanent exhibition and a 100 m2 painting, which was part of his exhibition entitled In the Architecture of Painting, 2016; 10m Lent Canvas for the oldest church Leechkirche in Graz; in the Small Fortress of the Terezín Ghetto, he surrounded the perimeter of cell no. 41 with a painting consisting of 600 figures, 2017; a solo exhibition entitled Re-construction in Villa Pellé, 2018; monumental realization on the road connecting Ostrava to the center and the area of lower Vítkovice, 2019 and this year Waterfall on a 40m apartment building in Žižkov. This year and last year, he was included in the world selection in London's Sothebys 3 times, where he again broke his auction record. He is currently teaching at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, where his habilitation procedure for the associate professor took place this year.
