Milada Marešová is considered in art to be an independent narrator - a painter of everyday, mostly city life between the wars, but also as an extremely prolific author of illustrations for books, magazines and bibliophilies. Milada Marešová was one of the first women to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, in 1923 she completed an internship in Paris with František Kupka. The work The Child in the Forest was published in the calendar of the Orbis publishing house in 1928.
