Bronze. The artist is one of a small group of sculptresses who influenced the Czech post-war art scene. She attended the College of Interior Design in Prague (1948–1952) and studied sculpture at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design (1952–1957, under Professor Josef Wagner). In 1959 she joined the Trasa art group. Zdena Fibichova's oeuvre includes figurative and structural sculptures, geometric objects, ceramic reliefs, and calligraphic drawings. One of the last exhibitions of Zdena Fibichova's art was held at the Museum Kampa in Prague in 2013. "Lovers" comes from the estate of the artist's family. An identical work is located in the collections of the Prague City Gallery, inventory no. P–1306.
