Kamil Lhoták is one of the key personalities of Czech painting of the second half of the 20th century. His work reflecting technical miracles is a logical outcome of artistic development. The fascination with civilization and the modern world is intertwined throughout Lhoták's work, as he himself adds: "I have always been interested in the landscape in which nature meets civilization, the artificial landscape in which man intervenes. What is exciting for me is the tension that arises between the originality of the earth and the human touch, especially the human-technology touch." Lhoták's work often acts as a direct contact between man and art, which reflects his life, elements close to him and speaks to him in a current language , which the civilization speaks fluently at the given moment.
