A characteristic example of the mature position of the work of the still under-appreciated Czech graphic artist Jaroslav Hořánek. The painting is close to the mythological theme of "Phantasms", where Jaroslav Hořánek develops natural motifs especially in the medium of graphics. In The Last Visit, however, it is the figure of Catrina, revered as a symbol of the Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). It is a metaphor for the meeting of the dead and the living at a feast.
