Cyril Chramosta graduated from the Secondary Industrial School of Construction in Prague and then studied privately with the painter Oldřich Blažíček. His works are known mainly for their dreamy landscape motifs, but only rarely do we encounter still lifes. The presented still life stands out for its almost cubist conception with fauvist colouring.
