Bohumil Eliáš Jr. after graduating from the Glass School in Kamenický Šenov chose to study in the studio of figurative sculpture of Jan Hendrych at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, which he completed in 2007. The author's works often evoke fragments of original complexes of ancient architecture, which are set in an artistic context. In this sense, for example, the fascination with the theme of a bridge or a window is evident in the visual fascination with the harmony of shapes themselves, but also in deeper contexts of meaning. Equally important to the monochromatic mass of glass is the play of penetrating light, which gives the sculptures their changing atmosphere and mystery. The deliberate torsosity, or perhaps more accurately the appearance of a ruin, invites ideas of original wholeness. The artist has had several solo and group exhibitions. The offered work has been exhibited several times: in Germany in 2016 at Glasgalerie Stölting and in 2012 at Glasgalerie Hittfeld and Gallery New Form in Sweden, in 2015 at Glass Gallery Broft in the Netherlands and in 2019 at Knupp Gallery in Prague.
