Pavel Baňka (1941) PENETRATION VII.

Experiments with movement and time belong to the recent work of Pavel Baňka, who has spent many years in the USA, where he has been a guest artist at various universities and has been represented by several major galleries in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and, most recently, New York. He has also worked as a teacher there. The movement of Penetration VII falls within the creative unit "between photography and painting". Moving away from referentiality to pure abstraction is a means of expressing the elusiveness of reality and pure, undisturbed perception.
