Vincenc Beneš was initially influenced by French modern painting, especially Cubism. He later switched to portraits, landscapes and still lifes, but retained the morphology and color of modern French painting and imprinted it on common everyday themes, including urban landscapes, bouquets in vases, still lifes with fruit or even figural themes of human gatherings or bathing. In Czech art, Vincenc Beneš gets to the center of events relatively quickly and is inspired by both the stylistic and thematic work of members of the Osma and the Group of Fine Artists, most of them mainly Bohumil Kubišta. The bouquet in the jug represents a delightful work for the eye, which celebrates life and attracts with wild Fauvist strokes, which are reflected both on the individual flowers and shimmer in the background like a colorful rain.
