An interesting symbolic theme from a biblical theme depicting Adam and Eve, who are God's expulsion from the Garden of Eden. František Dvořák was, in fact, a forgotten academic painter of the late 19th and early 20th centuries in Bohemia, a portraitist and painter of the genre, and with his conservative approach he demonstrated against all modernist tendencies of the time. After studying at the Prague Academy in Jaroslav Čermák's studio, he continued in Vienna and Munich. He then spent five years in the United States as a very successful portraitist in the upper classes. He then returned to the USA in 1904 and from 1906 until the end of his life he lived in Prague.
