Andrej Bělocvětov (1923 - 1997) AM TISCH

The paintings and drawings by Andrej Bělocvětov, a member of the Máj 57 art association, have their own very special specifics. They are characterized mainly by linearity, strength of shape and contour and numerous experiments with the abstraction of form. The author's work is characterized by a wide scope, in which it copes with a number of artistic influences over time. The influences of expressionism and cubism are clearly legible in the small picture. Andrej Bělocvětov belonged to the narrow circle of photographer Josef Sudek. His first solo exhibition took place at the Youth Gallery in Prague in 1958.
