The presented Study of an act comes from Antonín Kybal's early painting work, when his handwriting and modernist attitude were gradually refined. The environment in which this work was born was influenced by the Bauhaus and the texts of Josef Čapek. It blurred the distinctions between small and large art and opened an artistic field where artistic authenticity flowed without the intentions of national aspects. Antonín Kybal found a concept in painting that he brought to textile techniques - printing from wooden matrices, tapestry and weaving textiles. Textiles as a medium eventually passed from his native environment and almost from his blood into artistic creation and completely dominated it.
