The relief of the Annunciation depicting a man and a woman in a golden passage is the work of Olbram Zoubek, one of the most important Czech sculptors of the second half of the 20th century. After graduating from the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Josef Wagner's studio, the artist resorted to restoring historical sculptures and sgraffiti, mainly because he was inconvenient for the regime as an artist and could not exhibit officially. However, he continued to devote himself to sculpture; in 1996 he was awarded the state Medal of Merit 1st degree. His largest retrospective exhibition to date, comprising some 300 exhibits, took place in 2013 in the Prague Castle Riding Hall. The work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from PhDr. P. Bregantová.
