Vojta Nolč entered the art scene as one of the founding members of the creative group Máj 57 during her first performance as part of the joint exhibition Young Art in Prague's Municipal House (1957). He introduced himself to ten works - oil paintings and monotypes - from his yellow period influenced by French post-impressionism - following the example of Van Gogh, he signs only by his first name - Vojta. He is characterized by a penchant for romanticism, but at the same time he does not hesitate to reflect on internal human contradictions and the political situation.
