Maxim Kopf (1892 - 1958) TAHITI

Maxim Kopf liked to travel and discover unknown regions. The painting, depicting a rugged landscape with palm trees, belongs to a cycle of landscape paintings that the author created during his first stay in Tahiti. It offers an excellent example of the author's favorite work with exotic themes from his travels in Tahiti and Martinique, which he presented mainly at his solo exhibitions of Beautiful Unity in Prague in 1927, 1935 and 1937. The rarity of his works, in addition to their indisputable artistic, craft and aesthetic quality, increases and their unavailability. Due to the fate of the author's life, today a large part of his works is missing and signed works are very rare.
