Michal Ranný turned to the colors and surfaces of nature very often. He was fascinated by the color contrasts and form of natural inorganic structures. The beginnings of his painting work were connected with the landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, to which he constantly returned and which was one of his great sources of inspiration.
