Tavík František Šimon (1877 - 1942) A STUDY

František Šimon Tavík was one of the prominent graphic artists, painters, woodcutters and later taught at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was a member of SVU Mánes and a co-founder of the Hollar Association. He traveled extensively - in the years 1926 - 1927 he even traveled around the world. The presented study is from the time of his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, when he was a pupil of Max Pirner.
