František Skála mladší (1956) THE UCHAREZ PEARL SHELL SHIELD

František Skála is a founding member of the group TVRDOHLAVÍ (1987 - 1991), a member of the secret organization B.K.S. (since 1974) and a member of the Order of the Green Ladybug (since 1985). Skala's wide creative range extends beyond the boundaries of the visual arts: he plays and sings in the Small Dance Orchestra Univerzal Praha and the group Finský Barok, and is a member of the Sklep Theatre and the vocal-dance trio Tros Sketos. He has illustrated over twenty books, many of which have won prestigious awards. He has participated in more than 140 collective and 50 solo exhibitions at home and abroad. The work on offer is one of the artist's most recent creations. These are paintings created with natural pigments "on the remains of the sails of shipwrecked ships", drawing on mythology and the style of paintings of indigenous people.
