A unique table clock from Jean Nicholas Michel Breant's master watchmakers in Paris, who was awarded the title of master watchmaker in 1778. He made clocks for example for the Prince of Wales at the Carlton House Palace in London. Breant ran the workshop on Rue St. Martin in Paris from 1778 to 1789. The clock is different for its fringe motif and combination in fire gilded bronze with white alabaster. Above the clockwork, a flaky canopy standing on rounded pedestals lined with railings, held by four columns with a Doric head. On the enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals of the original gilded hand, signed: Breant Paris. Half beating.
