STILL LIFE WITH FRUIT

Large-format mannerist still life with a range of crops pointing to tuning into the late summer. Like Juan Sanchéz Cotán in Spain, Fede Galizia in Italy, and Clara Peeters in the Netherlands, the author decided to compose the work in the spirit of contrasting colors of grapes, peaches and satin tablecloth against a darker and neutral background. The simplified environment, where the still life is located, thus makes the individual details stand out and gives the painter space to better draw attention to his technical prowess in capturing individual pieces.
