František Ludvík Duchoslav was the best pupil of Josef Matěj Navrátil, under whom he studied privately. The presented painting Šárecké údolí perfectly reflects its focus on lovely romantic landscapes with rugged terrain. The landscape is tastefully mined by human staff and animals, and wooded slopes and dramatic storm clouds loom on the horizon.
