Otto Molitor (1889 - 1965) MASOPUST, ON THE MARKET

Paired paintings Masopust and On the market offer a view of part of the procession with musicians and girls in traditional costumes and a scene from the market of horses tied behind a carriage. Otto Molitor devoted himself to sculpture, painting and graphics and became a priest. He traveled a lot, but in the Czech environment he is known mainly for his portraits of girls and boys in Kyjov costumes, which he knew well because he was born in Kyjov. A pair of paintings measuring 83 x 160 and 82 x 164 cm.
