SILVER KOVSH

Silver kovsh with rich floral cloisonné decoration and dedication to composer, conductor and violist Oskar Nedbal for the promotion of Russian music. Oskar Nedbal worked as the leading figure of the Czech Quartet, where he played with Josef Suk. At the age of 22, he conducted the Czech Philharmonic orchestra for the first time and later conducted concerts in several world capitals. In the years 1910-1912 he composed the operetta Polish Blood, for which Leo Stein wrote a libretto based on Pushkin's short story Miss Peasant.
