Girl's portrait with a mask belongs to a number of socio-civil themes, where we can include many other female sculptures in everyday situations. In the 1920s, there was also a touch of poetics in his work, such as The Girl with Absinthe. Bedřich Stefan studied under Jiří Štursa and collaborated with Otto Gutfreund.
