Exotic wood, chalk, polychrome. 1782 marked on back. The figure of the Virgin Mary standing on a low base with her left food clearly stepping forward. Her crossed hands on her chest emphasize the closed block-like volume of the figure. The underlayer of her robe is visible only over the base; over her robe she wears a mantle, wrapped from her left arm to hanging under her right arm, where it terminates in a tubular drape. The drapery of her mantle folds in cup-like turns, with sharp extended edges predominantly under her left arm but also under the right arm. The underlayer of her robe is sharply broken over the base. Her oval face is framed with a headscarf and neck coverings. Czech cultural landmark since 2000.
