Drypoint on paper. A print for “Hořká” (Bitter), a collection of poems by František Halas, shows a nude woman with her arms somewhat open on the left, her gown falling to the ground. On the right a poet sits and thinks, resting his chin against left hand. In his right hand he holds a pen to an unfurled scroll of writing paper. Folded, it was used as the center two-page spread. Published by František Jan Müller in Prague as the 14th volume in the “Lis knihomilův” edition in a limited edition of 300 numbered impressions. Twenty loose sheets were also printed from the plate.
