This cabinet oil painting, which Dr. Seifertová considers to be an interesting collector's piece, is from the oeuvre of important Flemish painter Jan Frans van Bredael, who built on the Brueghels' landscape compositions. The overall layout into clearly-divided horizontal planes and the integration of the figural staffage creating a vibrant scene, both offer compelling proof that the painting was made by Van Bredael.
