The sculpture consists five smaller bronze statues of a gepards from the original seven pieces (numbered below 1, 3, 4, 5, 6). The sculptures of animals with an interesting structure made of nutshells are a well-known work of the Czech sculptor Michael Gabriel. At the beginning of the 1990s, Gabriel incorporated nature as an important element in his sculptural play. However, his aim is not to make an ecologizing appeal, but to understand nature as a structural entity that can be used in further innovations of actual sculpture. The theme of animals is significant work of the artist. The author studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (1980-1987). He is one of the founding members of the group Tvrdohlaví (1987) and in 1995 received the Jindřich Chalupecký Award. He also worked as a dean and teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology.
